Cast announcement: Dead Guilty
We are very pleased to announce the cast and crew for the first production of our 2025/26 season, Richard Harris’ Dead Guilty, directed by Chris Westgate.
“Thanks to all who auditioned for Dead Guilty,” says Chris. “There was a lot of interest and the usual high standards at a Wokingham Theatre audition, with competition for every part. I sincerely hope that those who were not cast this time will audition for some of the other fantastic plays in our forthcoming season as there are some great roles available.”

When John Haddrell dies of a heart attack at the wheel of his car, the woman at his side is not his wife Margaret, but his lover, Julia. Housebound and depressed whilst recovering, Julia is visited by Margaret – who is concerned for Julia’s welfare following the crash.
While kindly counsellor Anne contends with Julia’s suicidal tendencies and besotted but mindful handyman Gary helps around the house, Margaret becomes increasingly involved and solicitous.
Day-to-day life starts becoming unusual – but are events in this psychological thriller happening in Julia’s mind, or is one of the people around her not as kindly, compassionate, or solicitous as they seem?
The production runs from Wednesday 3 to Saturday 13 September 2025 at Wokingham Theatre.
